Level 2 - Team Leading
The Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading (QCF) is for learners who work in, or who want to work in the business and professional management sector.
It gives learners the opportunity to:

Develop and demonstrate competence as a Team Leader, Section Leader, Floor Leader, Trainee Supervisor, Call Centre Team Manager or Supervisor

Develop and demonstrate the skills and knowledge to develop the core competencies of the roles above, including team leadership styles, team dynamics, problem solving, providing support, managing the work of teams and communication techniques

Have existing skills recognised

Achieve a nationally-recognised Level 2 qualification
Training for the Team Leading NVQ/RQF Certificate is based around six key areas, and we'll help you put together the right modules from each area to fit the job you do and the way you want to develop your career:

Relationships and communication - how to build good working relationships and communicate effectively with your colleagues and customers.

Planning work and resources - measures to help you plan work safely and efficiently.

Personal development - managing performance and using techniques like SMART objectives to improve productivity.

Leadership - building trust, providing direction and taking a creative approach to problem solving.

Customer service - implementing common quality frameworks and using feedback to improve customer service.

Assessment
You'll be assessed on the tasks you do at work and create a portfolio of evidence to show what you've achieved. Your qualification will be awarded once that portfolio has been signed off by your tutor.

Level 3 Diploma in Management
The Level 3 Diploma in Management is for people who work in, or who want to work in management roles such as Section Manager, First Line Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainee Manager, Senior Supervisor and Junior Non-Commissioned Officer.
This combined knowledge and competency based qualification will build and develop new skills to enhance your management career.

It gives you the opportunity to:

Develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in the job roles stated above. This includes principles of equality, diversity and inclusion, the principles of leadership and management and the principles of people management.

Develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that support competence in the job roles stated above. This includes managing personal and professional development, supporting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and managing team and individual’s performance.

Achieve a nationally-recognised Level 3 qualification

Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills (PLTS).

You take five mandatory units in this qualification. The first unit looks at personal and professional development, helping the learner to identify their own development needs and plan how to fulfil them. The second unit develops practical team management skills. And the three remaining units of this section delve into the theory behind people management, leadership and business.
You can then work with your employer and PPD to find the best-fit from the other units offered in the qualification.

Level 4 Diploma in Management
The Level 4 Diploma in Management is for learners who work in, or want to work in management roles such as Manager, Quality Manager, Business Manager, Business Improvement Manager and Area Manager. The Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Management is ideal for managers moving into a middle management position, who still retain responsibility for operational processes but are more removed from day to day line management duties. The qualification develops the knowledge and skills required to take on higher level responsibilities such as planning and implementing change.

It gives you the opportunity to:

Develop and demonstrate a range of technical skills and behaviours that support competence in the job roles stated above. This includes skills in leading and managing staff, recruiting and selecting employees, developing and implementing operational plans, developing working relationships with stakeholders, and managing business risks.

Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning

The second unit delves into the theory of leadership and also provides practical application of how to inspire and engage individuals. In the third unit learners develop and implement an operation plan. And the final mandatory unit helps the learner to develop their working relationships with key stakeholders.
